His project aims to manage food waste from the school’s canteen whilst empowering students with hands-on learning.

Project Objectives

  • Reduce food waste to landfill by collecting leftover food from the canteen and using it as feed for Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) and chickens.
  • Setting up an aquaponics system to demonstrate to students how waste can support a sustainable ecosystem.

Co-founded in 2016, Zero Waste Malaysia (“ZWM”) registered as a non-profit organisation & NGO in 2018 (PPM-044-10-29032018) under The Registry of Societies of Malaysia.
